PLANT CRISPR & CONSTRUCT DESIGN

From CRISPR design
to cloning strategy.

Designed for plant research.
CloneWise designs CRISPR constructs and cloning strategies for plant researchers and biotech teams — from guides, vectors, and primers to verification planning before bench work.

WHY CLONEWISE

CRISPR and cloning problems begin at the design stage.

A weak guide, an unclear construct plan, or an incompatible cloning strategy is hard to catch once you have started. The cost lands later.

What a failed experiment costs.

Primers€25
Reagents€20
Sequencing verification€20
Researcher time (≈2 days)€300
Total example cost€365 + lost time

HOW IT WORKS

From a short inquiry to a clear design plan.

1

Send a short inquiry

Briefly describe your project goal. You do not need to share sequences at this stage.

2

I contact you

I follow up personally to understand the project scope and the right way to proceed.

3

Share details if needed

After discussion, we decide what information the design work needs.

4

Receive your plan

You receive a clear design plan and practical next steps for your project.

Choose the design support that fits your project.

CloneWise offers two service lines: CRISPR & genome editing design, and cloning & construct design.

Cloning & Construct Design

Cloning package 1

Basic Construct Design

€150

For simple cloning projects and standard plant overexpression constructs.

  • Up to 5 related simple plasmid designs within one project
  • Vector map, primer details, and verification plan
  • Golden Gate, Gibson, Gateway, or restriction cloning
  • Includes one 30-minute online consultation
Request Basic Design

Cloning package 2

Extended Construct Design

€250

For larger cloning sets, multigene assemblies, or more complex construct planning.

  • Up to 10 related plasmid designs within one project, depending on complexity
  • Everything included in the Basic Construct Design package
  • Includes two 30-minute online consultations: one project discussion and one final review call
Request Extended Design

Final pricing depends on construct complexity. Very large, unrelated, highly repetitive, or technically complex designs may be quoted separately. Experimental cloning, transformation, genome editing, and biological validation are not included.

About the founder

I am Bhanu Prakash Potlapalli, PhD, a plant molecular biologist based in Gatersleben, Germany, with expertise in plant CRISPR/dCas9 systems, molecular cloning, and construct design.

My core experience is in CRISPR- and dCas9-based systems for plant molecular biology, including fusion construct design, sgRNA design, CRISPR knockout construct design, and sgRNA engineering with aptamer systems for modular effector recruitment. During my PhD, I designed and built over 500 vectors focused on dCas9 plant expression, multiplexed CRISPR systems, and plant expression workflows.

Alongside this, I have over six years of hands-on cloning experience, including Golden Gate, Gibson, Gateway, and restriction cloning, plant expression vectors, bacterial expression constructs for protein purification, fluorescent protein constructs, and multigene assemblies. This includes my research work at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) Gatersleben.

Through CloneWise, I help researchers plan CRISPR construct designs and cloning strategies before moving to the bench — from sgRNA and construct logic to primer design and verification planning.

Researcher feedback

“During my PhD, Bhanu provided invaluable support in designing a Golden Gate cloning strategy for my project. He helped me choose the appropriate vectors and fluorescent proteins, explained the reasoning behind each decision, and guided me through the cloning workflow in great detail. His advice was highly practical and instrumental in the successful completion of my cloning experiments.”
